Preschoolers
Ages 2-5
When we work with preschool age children, this often involves play therapy with the child combined with consultation with parents and teachers. It truly takes a village at any age, but for our youngest clients, utilizing a collaborative model is key to a comprehensive treatment process.
With our youngest clients we are prescriptive in our approach mixing evidence-based, strategies with play therapy interventions drawing from developmentally appropriate use of toys, art, games, creativity, and imaginative play.

Elementary & Middle Schoolers
Ages 6-14
The elementary - middle school years span a large range of developmental milestones. For some in this age range that means utilizing play therapy techniques, for others this may involve more talk therapy. In both cases, we focus on the creative use of evidence-based strategies with hands-on interventions. I draw from the use of developmentally appropriate toys, art and games. In cases when appropriate, we use a collaborative model, working closely with parents, schools, pediatricians and other providers as part of a comprehensive treatment process.

High School & College
14-20’s
Building a therapeutic relationship is cornerstone to working with teens and young adults. Sessions are driven by evidenced-based protocols while promoting a non-judgmental atmosphere. When appropriate, we use a collaborative model working with parents, schools and physicians as needed on a case by case basis.

Emerging Adults
20-30+
Working with emerging adults requires a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, authenticity, and collaboration. Sessions are guided by evidence-based approaches while maintaining a supportive and nonjudgmental atmosphere that recognizes the unique transitions and challenges of early adulthood. Common areas of focus may include identity development, relationships, anxiety, life transitions, academic or career stress, independence, and family dynamics. When appropriate and with client consent, collaboration with parents, physicians, universities, or other supports may occur on a case-by-case basis.
